There's much symbolism in this piece—volcanoes build over a lifetime, intensifying anger and fury until sparked or triggered. Children (and many adults) can't articulate the mounting energy as the flames, colors, and ashes collectively surround the volatile situation. IT IS SPARKED! How long will it continue to be unchecked, uncontained, and out of boundaries, tempering the environment and the person?
